There are three things that you really want in a Realtor. Experience, honestly and someone who communicates. Everyone wants someone who has experience and is willing to listen and answer questions, but not everyone wants someone who is going to tell them the truth. Well, then I am not the Realtor for you. I give my opinion freely and openly whether you want to hear it or not. I give advice based on what I have learned from my experience in real estate for nine years. I know the market, I know pricing, I know what sells, I know what makes a great house. I love selling houses and it’s no fun when we can’t find one or they don’t sell! I want to make sure that a buyer doesn’t over pay and a seller gets a fair market value.

I want you to know that I don’t want to just make a buck off of you and then never see you again. I like the idea that I am making friends for life along the way and I also want to teach you a little about Real Estate. I want you to feel that you were educated in the process and understand everything every step of the way. I want you to feel like it was a pleasant experience, but then I want you to know that I am still available for questions long after we have closed on your transaction. I want to know how you are doing, if life is treating you well and even if it’s not. I want you to know that I still care about what happens in your life. I want you to stop me at the grocery store and tell me about your aunt June or sister Cindy. My favorite part about selling Real Estate are the people who I meet. It’s great fun and hard work and I wouldn’t change any of it! (Most days!)

I am a busy person but that’s what you want. Haven’t you heard the saying “Give it to the busiest person and they’ll get it done”. I want you to know that my experience does count and that I will understand you situation no matter what it might be. I have dealt with “Happy transactions” such as babies, marriages, new comers to a home. I have also dealt with the “Sad transactions” such as death, divorce, aging parents, health issues, and financial problems. (By the way sometimes divorces are “Happy” occasions.) I have seen transferees in and transferees out. I have tons of “I just want a different home” transaction. Whatever your circumstances are I will treat you with respect, compassion and confidentiality. I also hope that I will bring a smile to your face because I will try to make your experience pleasant and uncomplicated.

A little bit about me. I live at my childhood home with my wonderful husband Terry who cooks, cleans, does laundry and takes great care of me. We have two dogs Max and Lucy. Max is a big shepard/husky mix who wouldn't hurt a flea and Lucy who is  a boxer/lab mix with a little bit of grey hound who is just "Happy!". We have a pond with a beach, a squeaky windmill and a red barn. Terry is an electrician so don’t ask me to recommend one because I always say him.

We have two beautiful daughters: Amanda 27 and Graham 24. Amanda who lives in Cedar Falls is married to a really nice guy from Coon Rapids (Shawn), (He’ll be happy to hear that I like him!). Terry is excited to have a male in the family. Our younger daughter Graham lives in Grinnell and is happily involved in a relationship.

People ask me if I ever have spare time and what do I do. Well first of all, Sunday is my day off. So please try not to ask me to work on that day! In my spare time I write stupid stuff like this, write children's stories, but my favorite thing in life is playing in my flower gardens, walking around on our pasture and reading. Very mellow activities for someone who is on the move all day long! I love all our friends, but I don’t see much of them – my fault because I am a work-a-holic. I love my family very much and cherish every moment I get to spend time with them. I am a very spiritual person who belongs to the Kellogg Christian Church and I enjoy life in general. I am a very positive person and have the belief that if it’s meant to be it will happen and that I should enjoy every second of my life because I only have one chance!
